Frontend Developer

About the role

Our company is seeking a talented Frontend Developer to join our development team. As a Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the user-facing side of our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with our designers and backend developers to ensure seamless integration of user interfaces with backend systems.

We are particularly interested in hearing from you if:

• You have at least 1 year of experience in frontend development
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and React
• Knowledge of web standards and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with frontend build tools such as Webpack, Babel, and NPM
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points if:

• You have experience with Next.js and have know-how of SSR/SSG/ISR
• Knowledge of server-side programming languages such as Node.js or Go
• Experience with mobile development frameworks such as React Native or Flutter
• Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch or Figma

What are some of the things you'll be doing?

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Collaborate with designers to implement user-friendly interfaces and responsive layouts for web and mobile applications
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code using modern web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
• Develop and maintain reusable components and UI libraries to improve development speed and consistency across projects
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility of user interfaces
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers
• Troubleshoot and debug user interface issues reported by clients and other team members
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in frontend development

What does the hiring process look like?

We respond to applicants before the end of each week and within 24 hours of each interview, we will request and share feedback at every stage.

1. Introductory phone call ~ 15 minutes
2. Assessment ~ Take home + 60 minutes discussion
3. Final interview ~ 45 minutes
4. Offer stage

What will an offer consist of?

• A competitive annual salary of between MYR48,000 - MYR84,000
